The Seattle office of K&L Gates has an immediate need for an Administrative Assistant.  The Administrative Assistant will assist our e-DAT group, ensuring the group functions efficiently and to provide unique and dedicated support e-DAT Project-Based and Staff Lawyers, Practice Administrators, and other e-DAT staff. 

Essential Duties:

  • Providing administrative support for the e-DAT group, including staff and lawyers

  • Performs complex time entry in Elite for all e-DAT special assignment timekeepers (40+) in both Seattle and Pittsburgh on a daily basis

  • Schedule and coordinates meetings including partner/lawyer meetings, educational meetings, client meetings, orientations, training sessions, group related events or activities, etc.

  • Maintains a variety of tracking spreadsheets and data using Excel

  • Makes travel arrangements and submits expense reimbursement reports

  • Proofs documents

  • Distributes and screens correspondence

  • Answers telephones and directs appropriately

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree is required

  • Previous administrative or similar experience working in a law firm environment is required

  • Positive, upbeat personality and a 'can-do' attitude

  • High level of professionalism

  • Excellent organizational skills

  • Extremely detail oriented/strong attention to detail

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Commitment to providing the highest quality client service

  • Ability to organize, prioritize, re-prioritize, and complete numerous tasks in a deadline-intensive environment

  • Flexible approach to the work environment and experience working in a fast paced environment with unscheduled interruptions

  • Strong computer skills and high proficiency with Microsoft Office

  • Maintain confidential information and carry out responsibilities in an honest, ethical, and professional manner

  • Responsibilities may require adjusted work schedules, overtime and evening or weekend hours on occasion
