K&L Gates seeks an Attorney Specialist to join the Asset Management and Investment Funds (AMIF) practice group. This is a permanent position for lawyers interested in non-partnership track opportunities.  The Attorney Specialist will support our registered fund attorneys with reviewing and updating mutual fund registration statements and shareholder reports, commenting on disclosure matters, the review and preparation of mutual fund board materials and research related to matters arising under the 1940 Act. The Asset Management and Investment Funds practice group is interested in attorneys with five to ten years of direct experience working with Form N-1A, including reviewing mutual fund registration statements, prospectus supplements, shareholder reports, and similar. Experience working with fund mergers (Form N-14s) and proxy statements is a plus.

Candidates must be self-starters who possess the ability to work independently and as part of a team. We require strong academic credentials, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to providing the highest quality client service.  The ideal candidate will have demonstrated project management and leadership skills (either as a leader or as a team member) and is a driven individual who is ready to make a long-term commitment to K&L Gates’ AMIF practice group and this growing and specialized area of practice.

Base compensation $175,000 - $225,000 / year.

The base compensation for this position will be determined during the interview process and will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to prior experience, relevant expertise, current business needs, market factors and candidate's geographic location.
