The SQL Data Manager implements, administers, and manages SQL Server databases supporting the Financial Reporting and Planning team’s operations. This role ensures data accuracy, accessibility, performance, governance, and enables advanced analytics and reporting. Collaborating closely with the Financial Reporting and Planning team, the SQL Data Manager oversees technical data infrastructure and supports data-driven initiatives. Responsibilities include extracting, analyzing, and interpreting data from diverse sources using SQL to deliver actionable insights. These insights play a vital role in informing strategic financial decisions and enhancing the Firm's overall reporting capabilities. Compensation salary $94,000 - $141,000 The compensation salary for this position will be determined during the interview process and will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to prior experience, relevant expertise, current business needs, and market factors. ESSENTIAL DUTIES
• Planning, coordinating, and administering all functions supporting the Financial Reporting and Planning team’s database environments, including definitions, structures, documentation, and data standards.
• Managing software installations, upgrades, user security, and performance optimization within the database environments for the Financial Reporting and Planning team.
• Crafting complex SQL queries to extract, manipulate, and analyze data from relational databases. Creating reports to present summarized data insights.
• Ensuring data integrity and consistency across platforms. Cleaning, validating, and transforming large datasets for analysis and reporting purposes. Monitoring data performance and troubleshooting issues related to extraction and consistency.
• Developing data models to organize, structure, and define relationships within datasets for streamlined analysis and efficient database management.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to establish metrics, KPIs, and foundational business principles.
• Optimizing SQL queries and suggesting improvements to enhance performance and scalability.
• Documenting processes, data sources, structures, definitions, and assumptions ensure transparency and maintains consistency.
• Collaborating with the Finance team to understand business needs and translating those needs into specific data requirements.
• Performing additional responsibilities as directed.
EXPERIENCE SKILLS REQUIRED
• Demonstrate expertise in understanding and managing business operations, strategies, and financial principles to achieve organizational goals effectively.
• Specify programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, C++).
• Understand ETL tools and processes.
• Build and manage systems for storing, organizing, and analyzing large volumes of structured and unstructured data efficiently.
• Able to work in teams and collaborate across functional departments
• Demonstrate a focus on data precision and accuracy
• Manage various priorities effectively.
• Facilitate clear and concise communication.
• Demonstrate abilities to solve problems effectively.

• Possess experience with Oracle, Essbase, SSMS and SSRS
