We are seeking a mid-career real estate transactions attorney with 6-10 years of experience advising clients on leases, options, easements, and purchase transactions for solar, wind, and other renewable energy markets. Prior experience in a sophisticated law firm practice is preferred.

• General experience representing land owners and developers in wide-range of renewable energy development transactions; drafting and negotiating wind, solar, and mineral purchase and sale agreements, leases, easements, development agreements, construction contracts, crossing agreements, mineral interest waivers, etc.
• Knowledge and/or experience with energy projects is ideal; exposure to renewable development transactions is preferred
• Core real estate fundamentals are required skills, including title and survey experience.
• The following skills and experience would be a “plus” for any candidate: (a) timber and agribusiness; (b) tribal lands development and transactions; and (c) tidelands/shoreline leasing, easement, conveyance matters.

Seattle office location, although there is an opportunity for the right candidate to join in certain other K&L Gates office locations.

Candidates must be self-starters who possess the ability to work independently and as part of a team. We require strong academic credentials, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to providing the highest quality client service. Candidates will work closely with experienced lawyers who will provide active mentoring and opportunities to assume increasing levels of responsibility and client contact.
