We are seeking to hire a junior (2-4) year Real Estate Associate to join the Energy, Infrastructure and Resources practice in our Houston office. The ideal candidate will have:

* General experience representing commercial and/or energy investors and developers in wide-range of real property development transactions; 
* Strong title and survey experience.
* Experience reviewing, drafting and negotiating purchase and sale agreements, leases, easements, development agreements, construction contracts, crossing agreements, mineral interest waivers, etc. 
* Land use and entitlements regulatory experience.
* Experience negotiating JV and operating agreements and general corporate related experience a plus.
* Knowledge and/or experience with energy projects is ideal, though not required; exposure to renewables and conventional energy project development transactions also beneficial.

* Ability to accurately and efficiently manage high volumes of work. 

Any candidate will be given significant transactional responsibilities and will have the opportunity to join a team of attorneys that are ramping up their renewable project development transactional practice that spans North and South America and involves several firm offices.  The ideal candidate would be a junior real estate associate with an interest to use and develop said real estate experience in the context of renewable project development.
Candidates must be self-starters who possess the ability to work independently and as part of a team. We require strong academic credentials, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to providing the highest quality client service. Candidates will work closely with experienced lawyers who will provide active mentoring and opportunities to assume increasing levels of responsibility and client contact.
