We are seeking a Conflicts Specialist to join the Pittsburgh office. The Conflicts Specialist is an allied professional position responsible for providing administrative and project support in the review and process of Conflicts Check Requests and File Openings for New Business Intake and/or related processes.

Director, Conflicts and New Business Intake; Associate Directors, Conflicts and New Business Intake; Managers and Supervisors of the Conflicts Department; Conflicts Risk Assessment lawyers; Conflicts Compliance Specialists; partners; lawyers and support staff

Essential duties
•Ensure timely and efficient processing of Conflicts Check Requests and File Openings submitted by lawyers or staff for potential new business
•Review and revise search strategies to accurately capture all relevant results in database
•Collaborate with Conflicts Risk Assessment Lawyers on advanced searching issues and special projects.
•Answer all general and specific questions from firm personnel relating to the New Business Intake and/or related processes
•Identify and support all customer service needs for New Business Intake and/or related processes in a timely and accurate fashion
•Maintain the integrity and accuracy of the Conflicts database
•Monitor conflict and information quality control, with a specific focus on data repurposing efforts
•Provide administrative support in order to adhere to timelines and ensure prompt execution of project objectives
•Abide by all policies, work procedures, instructions and confidentiality of all information
 
Additional duties
•Run searches for File Change Requests, including Client Name Changes, Matter Name Changes, and File Reopens, for the Matter Intake department
•Perform Audit Inquiry Conflict Check Requests when requested by firm personnel in response to client’s audit response letters
•Provide support for the Firm’s Securities Trading policies by entering Insider Trading information into the Conflicts database, reviewing trading request for accuracy and completion, performing searches and associated data entry, and contacting pertinent firm personnel when needed
 
Job Requirements:
•Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent legal industry experience required
•Prior data intake processing and customer service experience preferred
•Must be detail oriented and have excellent analytical and judgment skills
•Ability to communicate effectively and interact with diverse personalities while maintaining a professional attitude
•Ability to work independently with a high degree of accuracy
•Ability to multi-task, work under pressure, handle interruptions while maintaining flexibility in work assignments
•Proficient with the firm’s software applications including Microsoft Office Suite.
•Knowledge of the firm’s billing and New Business Intake software helpful
